The Kinder surprise egg is certainly one of the coolest memories from childhood. Nothing ignites the imagination more than the fact that you can find an interesting toy on the inside of the egg. It is sold all over the world, except in the United States, where it was banned because of the possibility of swallowing small parts by children.
A 5-year-old boy and his brother found a Kinder egg hidden in a hedge along Edenmore Road in Belfast. Excited because of their sweet discovery, they ran home to tell their parents. When they opened the plastic part of the egg, they saw a bag of white powder.
The kid’s father guessed what it could be and decided to report the case to the police. It turned out that the egg was filled with methamphetamine. If the children would’ve eaten the powder, they would’ve died.
I’m glad that nothing happened to the children. I know how chocolate surprises work on the little ones. My son could’ve taken the drugs he found in our hedge. It is unthinkable – that was how the boy’s father commented the situation.
Fortunately, everything ended well!
