A simple thing you should do before eating each apple. From today, you’ll think twice before grabbing an unwashed one!

We have frequently written about the fact that the skins of fruits have pesticides and polishes. It’s really hard to buy an apple, which has not been treated with shellac or wax. Of course, you can peel the skin, but in it there are the most nutrients accumulated, including a large amount of vitamin C.

So, we worth eating the fruit whole. But first it must be properly prepared. Water by itself in this situation, unfortunately, won’t help. You’ll need to add two more ingredients: lemon juice and baking soda.


Here’s what you need to do!

Put the fruit in a deep dish and pour hot water on it. The wax should appear on the skin in the form of clear coating. Now it must be removed. To do this, add a teaspoon of baking soda and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Pour water again on the apples and remove the wax using a toothbrush.

Make sure that you wash your purchased fruits and vegetables thoroughly, especially if your home has children. Consider purchasing organic crops and from small local producers.
