A lot of people complain about young people just gazing into their phones and not paying attention to the world around them. It’s not entirely so. They’re spoiled kids, just like mean old men. There’s no need to generalize. It’s worthwhile, however, to show and praise a good attitude.
The 23-year-old Jarryd Stonamen is a good example. When he was small, his great-grandmother took care of him. Now, with progressive Alzheimer’s disease, she herself needs full time care.
Jarryd takes care of his 93-year-old great-grandmother without any reluctance, he prepares her meals, takes care of her and spends time with her. Every day, he turns on the radio so his grandmother wakes up to pleasant music. One day he asked her to dance, the happiness, which he brought to the ill woman is amazing.
As he admits, it’s most important to take care of each other, while there’s still time for it. As long as the person most important to us is still present, later you might only regret not giving them enough time. He doesn’t care that he doesn’t spend time like any other guy his age. The memories that he’ll have for the rest of his life are more important. The video, which was shared with friends, already was seen around the whole world.
