Environmentalists from the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) got a notification indicating that there is a trapped monkey in a tight hole between two buildings. When they arrived, they couldn’t believe what they saw.
Immediately, the frightened muzzle looking at them warily from behind the wire threw itself upon their eyes. They immediately started to rescue the animal. It turned out that the monkey had been there for 25 years!
WFFT founder Edwin Age describes the situation:
I’ve seen many neglected animals, but none of them looked as bad as Joe. The pictures show only a fraction of how bad it was in reality.
The hole where the creature lived was very narrow and dirty. There was waste and manure everywhere. Sunlight could barely reach it!
