1 1/2 cups apples (2-3 Granny Smith) – peeled and sliced about 1/4 inch thick
1 tablespoon flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 400
Place rolled out pie dough on a baking sheet.
In a large bowl use your clean hands to toss your sliced apples, flour, brown sugar and salt. Once all of the apples are coated place them in a pile in the middle of your pie dough leaving about a 1 1/2 inch edge.
Fold the edges of the dough up just over the apples overlapping sightly.
Cut the butter into little cubes and dot the apples with the little pats of butter.
Combine the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the unbaked galette.
Bake for about 25 minutes until crust is a nice golden brown and apples are cooked – the filling will be bubbly. If the apples need to bake beyond 25 minutes turn the oven down to 350 and continue to bake checking every 5 minutes.
