Main Coon is one of the largest domesticated breeds of cats. Cats from this breed aren’t thought of as the largest without any reason. From the tip of their nose, they are measured to be even 48.5 in (123 cm) long and weigh up to 35 lb (15,9 kg). The genesis of the Main Coon breed is wrapped with secrecy.
Although it genetically impossible, one myth says that the breed was made by breeding a cat with a raccoon. Another myth says that the queen of France liked Turkish cats called Angora and she shipped them to the United States, where they arrived by the Wiscasset shores, where they started to reproduce and alas such a race came into being. These cats have a double layer of fur covering them made up of an undercoat and an overcoat. Their fur sets itself in a characteristic ruff.
These cats have all kinds of colors, but the most popular is brown. Members of this breed are very attached to people and if we start to compare them with other breeds, then they will turn out to be very outgoing, very prosocial, and because of this, easier to get along with.
