Quick and easy truffle, non-dairy with a healthy dose of omega-3 from avocado. I’ve never had a “sweet tooth”, so baking and making sweet treats wasn’t my priority in the kitchen. But my coworkers asked me to do something sweet, but healthy (or maybe healthier). So browsing the internet I came across this recipe from Detoxinista ( http://detoxinista.com/2014/02/easy-dark-chocolate-avocado-truffles/) and it hit me, it was easy, quick and healthy (again, healthier). When browsing my pantry I’ve noticed I don’t have any vanilla extract left, so I decided to change the recipe. Instead of vanilla I stuffed the truffles with whole almonds. And it was amazing! Chewy outside with a crunchy surprise! Give them a try, it’s super easy and super tasty 🙂
- 7 oz. dark chocolate,
- 1 small avocado, mashed,
- pinch of salt,
- almonds (12-16, depends on your truffle size),
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder.
