Farmer’s pork chops

I love simple dishes like this one. It’s not every day that you want a new culinary experience, sometimes you just have the craving to eat something filling. This farmer’s pork chop is exactly that type of food, without anything fancy.

Potatoes, onions, béchamel sauce and pork. Simplicity in the fullest sense of the word. But this doesn’t mean that it’s tasteless. There’s actually more than enough taste here 🙂 Delicious, creamy potatoes with a wonderfully soft onion. Perfectly soft and tender pork seals the deal. Delicious and filling, perfect after a long and hard day.

  • 2 large potatoes, (about 14 ounces), peeled and sliced 1/4 thick,
  • 2 medium onions, cut in half and thinly sliced,
  • 2 center cut pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil,
  • 1/2 stick of butter,
  • 1/4 cup of flour (+ more for dredging pork chops),
  • 1 to 2 tsp salt,
  • 1/2 to 3/4 tsp pepper,
  • 2 cups milk.
