True collectors and antique enthusiasts need to have a trained eye to really assess how much an item is worth and how much money you can earn from it.
These people can buy something for a few pennies and then sell it for a very favorable price. Usually the value, at which a collector sells an item, is several times higher than the cost at which it was acquired. And although it seems unfair, even fraudulent, that’s just how this business works. If the seller does not realize what he has – he loses, while the buyer wins.
In 2010, Randy Guijarro from California came into possession of a unique treasure, which soon after made him a millionaire. When he returned home from work, he decided to look into the antique store “Fulton’s Folly Antiques”. He noticed three photos from the late nineteenth century. Unfortunately, he only had $2 in his wallet. He had to figure out a way to convince the owner of the store to give him the photos.
You’ll read about the idea Randy came up with along with what the old photographs show on the following pages.
