This calculation was conducted in 2004 and included 93 developing countries. Every year, this happens to many children. Most end up in foster homes or orphanages. They wait for new parents to take them in and treat them like full-fledged family members. Unfortunately, not every little one is so lucky.
Sometimes they land in an even worse situation than they were in to begin with and instead of going to a loving home, they go to a living hell. One Reddit user with the username justjackson knows exactly what we’re talking about. His mother was a drug addict, and his father left when Jackson was 2-years old. When his mother died, he really needed support, but his dad was not with him. Years later his father found him on Facebook and expressed his desire to reconnect with him. In response, the 24-year-old sent him this moving letter.
