Everybody has their own way of comforting sad people. We especially try to someone very close to us is in a bad mood. When we see depression in the eyes of a friend, sister or loved one, we want to do something about it. We come up with different (sometimes odd) methods to lift the sad spirit for a while.
The effectiveness varies and sometimes, instead of making them feel better, we make it worse. They either burst loudly in tears or get offended. Not everyone is an expert in this field, so don’t be discouraged in the very beginning. You can always use a reliable way, which is shown below.
