I don’t know anyone, who doesn’t complain about local roads. It’s not so surprising, since they’re not in mint condition. They are often bumpy, have confusing road signs, and awfully neglected. Briefly, our infrastructure really diverges from road standards in richer countries.
As we all know, Japan is one of the wealthiest countries in the world and the state of the road infrastructure exceeds local standards repeatedly. Precisely in this country they’ve built an extreme road, similar to a roller coaster!
The dual carriageway is 11,4 meters wide, and connects the cities Matsue and Sakaiminato. Under it is the lake Nakaumi.
They don’t suggest looking down. The height is impressive and effectively discourages tourists from taking this route.
