I love cheddar cheese, especially the matured kind. It has a delicate crumbly texture, and a sharp, slightly nutty sour taste that goes well with chicken breast. The pallet of flavors is complemented by garlic butter, made from fresh garlic braised for a short time in butter. This is a dish which can be made once in a while. It’s not a dish for someone on a diet, but it is a dish full of flavor.
Instead of eggs, we use the garlic butter to soak the chicken breast in before breading. The batter itself is the most important element here. Add parmesan and cheddar cheese to the breadcrumbs, which results in a unique “shell”, which then wraps around the delicate garlic chicken. It goes perfectly with baked potatoes, whether they’re in the form of fries or half-moons. Serve it with your favorite sauce to create the perfect dish for an evening with friends 🙂
