The history of the “saddest dog in the world” shows that animals have feelings and that we cannot think of them as toys

Shelters are full of animals that would like to have their own human, their own nook, and a hand that pets them.

There is no place on earth where there are no abandoned and lonely animals that wander. They hit the streets because their owners treated them like toys, which, when bored, threw them out to find another place to live. Such animals, with their instincts, also multiply and therefore the next generation of homeless animals is born.

Shelters are concerned with catching homeless animals. In many countries, it is the case that when there is no house for such animals, after a while they are put to sleep. Their sadness and hunger for life is ended because no one wants them. Dogs born in the wild or abandoned do not so easily get used to people, even sometimes fear them, and sometimes they simply cannot help but to behave badly.

Such dogs have the slightest chances. If there is a risk that they may endanger a human being, they are resocialized, but if this does not help, unfortunately they are condemned to death. The dogs, who had to struggle from the beginning to survive and have suffered much harm from humans, are not willing to cooperate.

This was the case with Lana, who was described as “the saddest dog in the world”. Her story is moving.
