Just as the saying goes: one man’s garbage is another man’s treasure”. These words fit perfectly with the Daasanach tribe from Ethiopia. The tribe found a creative way to recycle garbage: they transform it into extraordinarily beautiful jewelry, which is meant to be worn every day.
Every generation wears a different style of jewelry. These kids happen to like simple decorations, older people are decorated differently, and men keep bottle caps for their wedding. This fantastic tribal tradition was documented by the French photographer Erica Laffowoce, and his works are posted below.
Caps instead of rubber.
As you can see, caps are a popular form of decorating.
The jewelry is made from literally everything, even from metal pipes and chains.
