Pina colada drink made into a smoothie! Alcohol free 🙂 When the temperature outside of my kitchen reaches 93°F I look for something, that will keep me hydrated and will taste amazing. A “cold one” is not an option, because I don’t drink and drive, and I try to eat healthier, so I’m keeping alcohol away from my diet. But my “strong will” sometimes is very, very weak, so all day I’ve been craving for a cold drink. I love Pina coladas, so it hit me! Maybe I can make a healthier version of it? Quick search on the internet and I’ve found this recipe from favfamilyrecipes . And it was delicious!
- 3 cups frozen pineapple chunks,
- 16 oz coconut water,
- 1/2 cup of milk,
- 1/2 cup shredded sweetened coconut flakes,
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 cup of ice cubes (optional, but I like my smoothies almost slurpee like).
