She removed the stains from the couch by using a product that everyone has at home. Who would think that it is so strong!

After a long day at work, it feels good to sit on a comfortable couch and relax a little, watch a movie and spend time with the family. Of course, it is difficult to imagine an evening of film without snacks and drinks. While you are snacking, food can fall off the sofa and make a stain that will be difficult to remove.

It becomes particularly evident when the materials are bright. Then you can see every single spot. Do not panic and cover the couch with a blanket or seek a professional cleaning company. With stains on upholstery, prepare a mixture presented below.

Baking soda comes to the rescue! Its effects are versatile and it has long been a popular detergent. Unfortunately, most people prefer to buy a finished product than to reach for what you already have at home.

Here’s the couch-relief recipe:

  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda mixed with a little warm water,
  • 1/3 cup of vinegar and a tablespoon of washing powder (the best is the one for washing carpets)

Add a little warm water to the baking soda. Make a paste and apply it to the stain. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes. When the stain is particularly persistent, the mixture may remain on the dirty couch for up to two hours.

After this time, mix the vinegar with powder and start to clean the dirt. Remember not to use a colored cloth as it may stain the upholstery. The best for this purpose is a soft, bristle brush or light towel. At the end, vacuum clean the place and enjoy a refreshed, clean bed.
