She Washes Barbie’s Makeup Away. When You Find Out Why She Does It, You Admit She Is Right!
Sonia Singh, an artist but also a mother coming from Tasmania, is the initiator of a really fantastic initiative. The world we live in creates strange, often unrealistic ideals of beauty, and the worst is that these ideals reach our children, often disrupting their self-esteem or their outlook on life…
Thus, there arose “Tree Change Dolls”- an unusual action, which is to change the perception of beauty in children’s environment.
Sonia washes away old Barbie makeup, nay, even whole faces… and draws them again.
She gives the dolls more natural, childish look, she does not paint lips, if necessary, she changes hairstyles and clothes.
The result? Really fantastic! We really promote this type of initiative!
Thank you Sonia, NOW they really are beautiful !!!
Pretty sure none of those are barbies.
Those are brat dolls

I just want to point out that these are mostly Bratz dolls, not barbie. I like the idea, but I guess I’ve grown so used to the way dolls look and I think that’s their charm and why little girls (and boys and adults for that matter) like these dolls. Their new look is kinda plain, and their eye brown are a little thick and appear bushy, and they have no eyelashes. I think they can still be made to look natural and not so plain. Freckles are a nice touch.
not even the same dolls – look at the facial shapes and compare – nice thought….but show the real deal not the fakes beside
😀
