The robe that adorns a person does not define them, but it decides your first impression of them.
Appearance should be secondary to how some behaves. Unfortunately, this is the first criterion for assessing people around us, which contributes to the marginalization of the poor and homeless. The owner of a certain Spanish hairdressing salon noticed this injustice and he decided to do something about it.
La Salvajeria salon is located in Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the island. Its boss parks near his workplace every day, and homeless Jose Antonio Garcia helps him find a parking space. The man helps drivers not only find a parking spot, but also helps them navigate as they drive through narrow streets or between other vehicles.
The homeless Spaniard earns a living like this, since he has not had a roof over his head for 25 years and has been camping out on the main streets. The owner of the hairdresser, touched by his daily kindness, decided to give him a surprise that changed his life. More about Jose Antonio and his metamorphosis on the following pages.
You will also find there a video documenting the transformation of the man and his emotions when he first saw his new self.
