Someone once said that Asians will eat virtually anything that has four legs except for a table and anything that flies with the exception of a plane.
Unfortunately, there is some truth in these words. This situation is not as rare as it seems. It’s not a stereotype. Until this point, Asia has had a problem with the eating of animals, which are commonly regarded as our best friends. Fortunately, things are getting better. Taiwan is setting a new direction by becoming the first country in the continent to completely ban the consumption of these animals.
The ban also covers the sale, possession or purchase of cat and dog meat.
What awaits those who do not follow the new warnings? The punishment isn’t small at all, but more on that on the next page.
