Air travel is statistically the safest means of transportation. The growing number of elderly passengers and the increasing popularity of flights make deaths on board more frequent. What to do in such situations? Where is the body placed?
This subject brings up a lot of different speculations. One of them talk about locking the deceased in a toilet. This is done, however, only in extreme cases like if they delay in some way the evacuation of passengers.
The most reasonable answer seems to be landing and transferring the body to the ground, but it is not always a possibility. During transoceanic flights the captain does not have the possibility of an unplanned landing, they must therefore continue the journey with the deceased on board.
