We often judge people hastily, not knowing what they’ve experienced and what problems they face. Some don’t show others that they’re in a bad position. They behave normally and despite immense suffering they try to somehow keep functioning.

Because of an emergency, a surgeon is called to the hospital. A little boy had a serious accident and is in need of immediate care. The specialist quickly puts on his scrubs and makes his way to the operating room. On his way he passes the boy’s father, who begins shouting at him:
Why did you come so late? My child’s life is in danger!
The doctor smiled and quietly replied:
I’m sorry. I wasn’t in the hospital. I’ve just arrived and I came as fast as I could. Calm down and let me do my job.
I have to calm down? How would you feel if it was your son! Would you be calm then?
Doctors don’t always work miracles, but don’t worry. I’ll do everything that’s in my power.
