Similar rights govern the world of wildlife. Unaccompanied by a parent animals have little chance of survival. Fortunately, they can sometimes count on human’s help.


These bats have been orphaned when their mother died during one of the hunting. Without her help the babies would await certain death. However they found a shelter within the walls of The Australian Bat Clinic & Wildlife Trauma Centre.


Small bats (like other mammals) feed mainly on milk. Only in a later stage of development, their tastes are slightly changed. Adults like fruits and insects (including mosquitoes). Culinary passions make our winged rodent our unwitting ally.
