Cities try to attract tourists in a variety of ways. Some do not have to exert too much effort, because they have a lot of sights and interesting places to visit.
They have interesting architecture and the most characteristic buildings quickly becoming the pride of the city for example, the Eiffel Tower immediately makes you think of Paris, and Big Ben of London. It’s worse, if your area does not have anything interesting. Then the region does not have much tourism, and this is quite an important part of cities’ economy.
Inakadate is a small village located in the Japanese prefecture Aomari in the Tohoku region. Its inhabitants are dependent mainly on agriculture, especially horticulture and the cultivation of rice. In Inakadate, there are no monuments or any attractions that can attract people from outside the region. Local authorities wanted to somehow revive the village and invented a fantastic “advertisement”, which quickly proved to be a hit.
