Life turns out differently than we expect, sometimes love burns out, and families split up after many years.
Love is a great feeling, it can connect people who are totally different from each other. It makes it so that cultural, religious or philosophical differences are not so important and overwhelming. People in these families learn tolerance and a common vision for the future, that the most important thing is family and shared happiness.
Unfortunately, sometimes it turns out that love is not enough, that the differences are a chasm that divides us. Then couples part, each going their way, alone in their own world. It is very unpleasant for both sides, that when disappointment comes, they cannot reconcile what divides them. If they do not share anything but extinct feelings and memories then the matter is simple. It’s worse, if the relationship includes children.
This was the case about which you’ll read about on the next page.
