Morgan, an 18-year-old representative of the dachshund breed, landed in a shelter in Fort Myers towards the end of her life after her previous owner past away.
The employees of the shelter seemed well aware of how sad of a fate was awaiting the poor animal in their facility, so they decided that they would do anything to make sure the dog left this place and would be able to fully enjoy each of its last days.
So they contacted the Senior Paws Sanctuary, which is a place where they take care of older dogs. They asked if the shelter would be able to take care of Morgan. The owner of the establishment came to see the old animal and fell in love with her on the spot. This meant that the 18-year-old dog would live to experience a little bit more of life, warmth, and joy.
Morgan went to a foster family, that already had one dog, 10-year-old Charlie. Both animals immediately became friends and so began their unusual adventure.
