Doing good is the most powerful human activity because it makes the world a better place.
Only children can help selflessly without too much thinking of obstacles, rules or stereotypes. The world children see is simpler, more black and white or just good or bad. If they see a man in need they react instinctively and they are capable of doing great things. Haley Ford is 9 and she lives with her parents in Bremerton, Washington.
Her life wasn’t different from other little girls’ lives before the day when, during shopping, a homeless man approached her asking for food or any other kind of support.
Haley and her mother bought the man a sandwich and got back home. But the encounter inspired the girl. She couldn’t understand why there are good people who don’t have home. For sure they don’t deserve what happened to them.
What did she do to help the homeless? You will find the answer on the next pages.
