Life has different scenarios in store for all of us, but they are often not romantic comedies, in which everyone lives happily ever after.
Children are born with only one fear – the fear that they will lose their parents. That they’ll be left alone, and those who love them unconditionally will leave. The loss of a parent imprints a mark on a child’s life that sometimes changes them. The sense of loss is so strong that they cannot work through it. Rafale Zoehler wrote a wonderful story about loss and decided to share it with us:
Death is always a surprise. No one ever expects it. Even patients with terminal illnesses always think they have time, at least a day or two. Maybe a week. But this is always just another week.
We are never ready. It is never the right time. And when it comes, there’s always something still left to do. The end is always a surprise and it’s full of tears for the orphans who remain here alone and do not understand what is happening.
How this is connected with author’s life, you will find out on the next page.
