Life can surprise us and sometimes when we least expect it, something can happen that we will remember for the rest of our days. It is great when, next to the defeats and setbacks, something fabulous and enviable happens.
Such an amazing event happened to the sailors the South Pacific on the 12th of August, 2006. They witnessed an extraordinary event which they will certainly be telling their children about.
The crew and captain Fredrik Fransson noticed from afar that something was floating in the water. Initially, they thought that it was a fragment of a spit, but they quickly found out that they were wrong.
The phenomenon was very interesting and when they swam a little closer, they saw what looked like sand. Later, they found it to be a cluster of pumice. At first glance, it looked like a huge traveling beach.
They decided to let it pass. What happened next was on the thin border between life and death.
